- If you have guests "smokers" make burn candles anti-tobacco, your curtains will not be impregnated by the odor of cigarette, and when your guests leave, they will have left you only good memories. Let us not forget it, by definition, any candle absorbs smoke, and those which are scented attenuate the odors of tobacco.
- Arrange your candles safe from the moisture and any light or heat source.
- To clean your solid candles of the dust or the finger marks, use a rag soaked with sunflower oil.
- When you receive, light and extinguish your candles before the arrival of your guests, they will be re-ignited quickly and better when your guests are there.
- When you receive for diner, rather than de move continuously a candle or another to make some place on the table, put all your candle on a plate that it be enough to transport if you need , (Don't forget, don'nt e moving a candle when it be light, nor when the wax or the freezing be still liquid.)
- You already tried to take a bath with the gleam of the candles, nothing more releasing! The heat of the flame creates a resting atmosphere which helps you to eliminate the stress and to forget the one moment space your daily concern.
- Soak the base of your candle in very hot water to make it more malleable and to thus be able to adjust it perfectly in your candlesticks.
- If your white candles become yellow with time, clean them with alcohol with 90° (according to Larousse Ménager of 1926)
- So that a candle is consumed less quickly, you can put it at the refrigerator before burning it. By taking care well to pack it hermetically so that it does not take moisture.
- Old candlesticks: the old candlesticks and candlesticks have a diameter higher than 22 mm corresponding to candles which are not manufactured any more. To use the modern candles of a lower diameter, it is enough, to make them hold quite right, to fix them with an adhesive wax pastille.
